I don’t even have to use the ultrasonic button. The beep is enough. One push and the behavior stops. I love the portability and that it doesn’t shock or use anything that harms the dog. I can carry it with and it charges quickly! It is so easy to use too.

Used to spray the dogs and yell with no results. Have tried a shock collar and it didnt work. This thing is AMAZING and works for all 3 dogs, even though the chi mix gets caught in the middle cause he doesnt need it. It works flawlessly on tje staffie mix and the beagle, it seems to hurt the chi’s ears. So keep in mind probs best for medium size and up.

This ultrasonic device is a great training aid that really works if you use it compassionately and follow through with positive training and reinforcement for desired behaviors. If you just want to be able to press the button to shut up your dog without doing any more work with them to teach them not to bark in the first place, then you’re already setting yourself (and your dog) up for failure and shouldn’t purchase this device. One of our dogs is a seven year-old corgi/chihuahua mix with anxiety and noise sensitivity, and he constantly alarm barks at every outside sound. He’s been that way his entire life, and we’ve tried vet-recommended anti-anxiety supplements, behavior therapy, and music therapy. They’ve given him a great foundation for how to be calm, but keeping him that way is always the challenge. We’ve waffled on whether an ultrasonic trainer would be a good tool with him because we never knew whether it would work for or against us with his noise sensitivity. His alert barking has been escalating as of late, though, so we finally decided to try it.The first use of the device immediately worked, but I was conflicted about it. He was having one of his alarm barking episodes, and when he’s caught up in his own anxiety, he is usually oblivious to us and any attempts we make to get his attention and redirect him. After trying to get his attention, I pressed the audible beep button first. He stopped for a brief second, but he started barking right away again before we could refocus his attention. The same occurred on the second try. So I pressed the ultrasonic button for just a second. He immediately stopped barking, but he also shook in complete terror. That made me feel awful, but we finally had his attention. We quickly praised his silence and offered him treats so as to turn the negative stimulus into a positive alternative for him. The next few hours were concerning, though. It only took that one blast of the ultrasonic sound for him to figure out where it was coming from, and he spent the afternoon obsessively eyeing the device like he was waiting for it to go off and terrify him again. I felt pretty guilty watching that reaction and was worried we had must made the situation worse instead of better. My guilt was short-lived when he finally relaxed, and I tried again when he had another barking episode. I had already decided not to escalate to the ultrasonic button again, but I would not have needed to use it. The audible beep immediately got his attention that time. He stopped barking and looked to me for guidance, I gave him his settle command, and he laid down on his bed quietly and calmly. And we’ve been making great progress exclusively using the audible beep ever since. He now responds to that sound like he’s never responded to anything else, and we’re refreshing his behavioral therapy training to reinforce calmness. We even successfully used the audible beep cue this past weekend when company came to the house, and our guests were able to come inside to a quiet, friendly greeting from him for the first time ever. It also works outside when we’re enjoying the beautiful weather in the backyard, and we don’t have to rush him back into the house out of fear that his barking is disturbing the neighbors. He’s also starting to finally make good connections between when he’s allowed to bark (like play time) vs. unwanted alerting behavior, and we’re seeing less alarm barking from him overall. This device is what I hoped it would be…a means to an end. I envisioned only using it as short-term intervention, and we seem to be on track for that outcome. I truly appreciate how this device has finally been able to reach him when he’s escalated and help us re-communicate with him what our expectations for his proper behavior should be. He’s responding beautifully, and I would recommend this device to anyone who is willing to use it responsibly as part of a compassionate training program.

Our mini Aussie loves to bark at everything, even the mail lady as she passes by. She even barks at us if we’re on the other side of the bedroom door. This device is heaven-sent. She responds to it so quickly. Our house is quiet again and the babies sleep through their nap time better. We are very thankful. We charge it every night and we never have issues with the battery.

I don’t know where to begin. I have two dogs that are considered pandemic dogs. They are both around two years old. They are used to me being with them 24/7. They however, are not used to visitors or anyone else in our house. They have very keen hearing and can tell when a delivery truck is down the road. When I receive a delivery or a visitor, they bark incessantly. It is extremely annoying and embarrassing. No matter what I have done I cannot get them to stop the barking under those two circumstances. With the PetSpy ultrasonic bark deterrent, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. When they begin barking, I tell them “no“. If I don’t receive a response, I press the initial beeping sound. That will get their attention and their heads turn back and look at me. If they continue barking I tell them no again And wait for a response. If they continue the barking, I press the ultrasonic sound wave button. I hear absolutely nothing from the device, but they sure do! They instantly stop barking and their heads turn back to look at me. As soon as I get their attention I start praising them. This device has absolutely been a godsend to me. I am so impressed with it that I called my sister and told her she has to get one because she has been dealing with the same type of barking situation. I clearly think this device is amazing and recommend it for anyone who struggles with these kinds of barking situations. Amazing device that I am so thankful to have!

This item has been a game changer. We have a pit mix who has become reactive(owner error). She has only needed the actual dog sound 2-3 times. She only requires the warning sound to stop barking, jumping, or lunging. We have paired pressing the button with a command such as-“No Barking”

Finally- a small device I don’t have to hound around. It’s so nice to take on walks and it has helped me train my pitbull. Walks through the park are so relaxing now! I love the beep option so when she hears it she knows to stop before I press the button if she doesn’t stop! Life saver. I have been a struggling with walks and so embarrassed but now, she’s a normal dog! She’s learning when and where it’s okay and not okay. 🙂

I have a little dog and we all know that’s what they do is bark. This dog barking control device actually makes her stop a minute and listen. It hasn’t completely stopped the barking but she knows now when I have it in hand she will stop and listen. It has 2 different buttons for different ultra sounds I have only needed the one so far I expect the other will work just as good.

I use this for my neighbor’s dog. He barks all times of night as they never walk, talk or let their dog out of the fence ever!!! So he just barks all night long. I hit the button once and he goes into his doghouse and goes to sleep. I also use this when I walk the neighborhood. Never know when a dog is going to jump out at you. Be prepared!!!

As the picture shows, the small carabiner that comes with the bark silencer makes it quite easy to keep the silencer easily accessible for those moments when the dog decides to start barking.I can control my dog fairly well with my voice, but when he goes to barking the level of volume I need to stop him is just as annoying as the barking and it is not always successful without me having to close the distance and let him know I’m serious.I’ve not gotten to use this device much, but when I did it certainly stopped him from barking quickly as his puzzled look was like, “What was that”. As per the instructions provided, I rewarded him with a “Good Dog” when he stopped his barking.Nice device.
